Avenue of the Giants

A "short" 6-hour drive north of San Francisco and you'll enter the home of the last remaining old-growth forests of Redwoods. Averaging 350 ft. in height, these are the tallest trees on Earth weighing up to 1.6 million lbs. and spanning 24 ft. diameter. Once prevalent in the northern hemisphere, only 5% now remain in this isolated corner of Northern California.
